SOLD OUT!!!The Savour Food & Wine Festival is a series of unique culinary events designed to celebrate our cultural interest and passion for great food, wine and beverages. The Festival is celebrated throughout the winter months showcasing some of Nova Scotia’s great restaurants, mixologists and breweries, wineries and other beverage merchants.
The Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia (RANS) is kicking off its annual festival season with a big announcement: a newly established long-term relationship in support of the IWK Foundation.
“We are excited to be working closely with the IWK Foundation. As we enter our 15th year of the Savour Food and Wine Festival, it’s important to find a way to give back,” says Savour committee chair, Joe McGuinness. RANS will be donating a portion of ticket sales to the foundation. “We couldn’t think of a more worthy recipient than the IWK,” says McGuinness.
RANS President, Costa Elles, says: “It is a priority of RANS to create worthwhile partnerships in the community; we are delighted to form a relationship with the IWK Foundation and give a philanthropic drive to our Savour events.”
Since launching in 2002, the Savour Food and Wine Festival has grown from a single event showcasing restaurant and beverage suppliers from across the province, to a line-up of six unique events. The festival season runs from late January into early March, where it is capped off with the flagship Savour food and wine Show. Additional events include; Imbibe a Cocktail Event; Decadence: Chocolate, Wine and Cheese; Craft Beer Cottage Party; Rare & Fine Wine Tasting, as well as Dine Around.
RANS is a non-profit association that looks to promote the food and beverage sector in Nova Scotia and continuously make a positive impact for the Restaurant Industry in Nova Scotia. Ticket sales from the Savour events are its single biggest annual fundraiser.
“The festival has grown year-over-year, and we are happy to find an energetic and engaged partner in the IWK Foundation,” says McGuinness.
